The Rocket hooks up with…. Mindy McCready?

I thought that this evening I would touch on the most intriguing sports story of today. ALLEGEDLY Roger Clemens had a 10 year affair with 15 year old country singer Mindy McCready. No I say allegdly for one reason. What in the Sam Hill would a all star, future HOF (hey, he was at the time), world series champion pitcher, in all of his 28 year old prime, be doing even glancing at a 15 year old girl. Now I heard this argument this afternoon on Jim Rome is Burning… and Around the Horn… and PTI… and Sportscenter (in that order)… but I would like to defend Roger Clemens!

I don’t think that there is any way Roger Clemens had any type of sexual affair with this girl. He could have had just about any woman he wanted, not to mention his beautiful loving wife (pictured above). The one thing no one on any of these shows is mentioning is something that is blatantly obvious to me, in fact it was one of the first things I noticed (ladies please don’t judge me), and it’s the reason I believe (yet again) The Rocket is INNOCENT!!

Now, aside from the fact that she is obviously sucking her stomach in as far as humanly possible, let me point out that she is no Carrie Underwood. That’s not saying Roger Clemens is an Ashton Kutcher, or whoever you teens are getting your panties all twisted for, but until today, Roger Clemens was a houshold name while Mindy McCready was the answer to some 90’s Pop Trivia question.

In closing, I believe that this is a scandalous attempt to kick a good man while he is down! Mindy McCready may have todays highest hit rate on Google, but Roger Clemens can now never look at his wife the same again!
