Greg: I am a student at Texas Tech university Majoring in Music Education. I was born in Poughkeepsie New York, where I grew up playing hockey. i moved to Boca Raton Florida when I was in Kindergarten and picked up soccer and baseball and football. I moved to Austin Texas when I was in the Second grade and continued to play all those sports growing up.
As I went through High school I dropped football for band but continued to play tennis. Basically I love sports, I follow sports like a religion and love talking about sports. Most of my family lives in Philadelphia, which is where most of my loyalties lie in sports. That makes it very hard to live in Texas, a kind of antithesis to Philadelphia where (in sports) money flows and nothing is too extravagant (Mark Cuban, Jerry Jones).
My first job was working at a minor league ballpark in Round Rock, where through meetings with people like Nolan Ryan, Roger Clemens, and Lance Armstrong I began to get a feel for the world of professional sports.
This is an experimental blog that I hope you enjoy and I also hope to have a few more writers on here before too long.
